On September 30 and October 1, ELITE Day 2018 will be held in Milan, a conference that will bring together the partners and companies participating in the ELITE Program from around the world in an agenda that will include workshops, seminars and networking sessions.

ELITE is the international business development and fundraising program of the London Stock Exchange Group, which supports privately held companies with high growth potential to prepare and structure to achieve its full potential by educating their key managers and shareholders, creating opportunities of networking for companies and capital market advisors and access to the opportunity to capitalize on their business. The program has a global network of over 1000 members from 36 different countries and € 67 billion in aggregate revenue.

Instituto de Desenvolvimento do Mercado de Capitais (IDMC) is responsible for the development of the ELITE program in Brazil and is part of the ELITE Global Alliance, a select group of institutions responsible for the globalization of the program.

IDMC will be represented in Milan by its Business Development Director, Eduardo Campos, who on October 1st will participate in the panel “ELITE Global Alliance – a global perspective”.

In March 2018, the ELITE Brazil Program announced the first group of Brazilian companies to join the ELITE community, all of them in the state of Minas Gerais. Also in 2018, the ELITE Brazil Program will announce in November a new group of companies from Minas Gerais that will join the ELITE community and, starting in February 2019, two new co-horts will be launched in two Brazilian regions that were not yet served by the program: Northeast and South. The goal is to onboard 50 companies in ELITE Brasil in 2019.

With this expansion, ELITE Brasil began the nationalization of the program and consolidated the movement of approaching large and medium-sized Brazilian companies with the main players in the financial and capital markets. In this sense, IDMC has attracted the support of development agencies and banks, investment banks, independent auditors, consultancies, law firms and other capital market advisors.

“ELITE has demonstrated, since its launch in Brazil, the relevance that a structured program of support to medium and large companies has for the transformation of capital market culture in the country. Although Brazil is positioned among the world’s great economic powers, we do not have a strong capital market that represents all the potential of medium and large Brazilian companies.

With ELITE Day, we will have the opportunity to exchange experiences with the leaders of this movement worldwide, to know best practices in markets analogous to Brazilian and to strengthen our integration with companies and partners from more than 30 countries impacted by ELITE. ”

Eduardo Campos, Business Development Director of IDMC
